Attuned

Through the sprinkling showers in pleasant solitude,
Tiny drops on the face dwelled an ease,
To thrust the droopy blues.

The downpour dragged out in plenitude
The sorrows, drop-by-drop they came
And gushed out that anguish.

The free-flowing stream,
Not only had the sorrows, but also the joys
Inter-laced, one could not be without the other.

Roots

It was a long journey, a long way,
Deciding my niche, stood there
And gave a thought,
Where shall my dwelling place be ?
And there I found one, and recalled
“Like a tree all must find a place to grow and develop”
Just came in, and the roots are not too deep.
A horrid tempest struck my soul,
Wavering all along, cried for help,
Hold me!
None came, for it’s my life,
They had to hold onto theirs’
The blow was hard, hard to uproot me,
Beaten all along, fell to the ground
Heard a cry from deep within –
“Hey you, hold onto that moundful of Earth”
 And I did.

Glory of Dawn

The earth lies confined,
To the silence of the woods.
The forms wake up to the life,
And pray to the morning light.

The showers of light
Bring beauty and hope.
With each sparkling glint of the beam
Comes a ray of happiness.

The clearing mist
Drifts away with the warmth.
As the dew drops
Get seeped into the leaves.

As the chirping birds
Fly away to forage,
Your thoughts start moving
With the dawn of the day.

To Oli

I know you as a neighbor
Who at the end of the hour
Being tired of the laboratory
Placed dirty deposits on my territory

Freedom of thought you possess
Truth that you always confess
Constantly in a search you seem-
As delicate a meaning in a beam.

To sense and see the world of lives
You would risk a hundred dives.
Care and concern is what you are-
Helping hand you lend afar.

Good or bad, always in smiles,
One could walk a hundred miles
You pleasant one with such a big heart
Who would not seek a journey in your CART ?

The New York Subway

A hip, a hop, a jolt, all the way

There goes the New York subway
Coiling and cradling several millions a day
With dreams and hopes and destinations say
People and faces all varied
Most of them run hurried
Thoughts and moments deep buried
In the course of the time journeyed.

A place for all, unity sublime
Have your say, no crime-
Thus runs the New York subway prime
And carries all with reason and RHYME
